Welcome to Tech Factotum, a site put together by Bill and Tom (aka B&T) to serve a variety of purposes. Factotum is defined as:
fac·to·tum [fakˈtōtəm]
- a person, as a handyman or servant, employed to do all kinds of work around the house.
- any employee or official having many different responsibilities.
So, the Tech Factotum site is dedicated to all kinds of different pursuits, concepts and ideas, basically a melange of whatever we’re currently into and a source for our friends and family to seek advice, support and inspiration based on our collective “factotum”.
The site is divided up into a few key areas with more to come as it develops.
B&T Banter
A timely topic, usually tech related in which B&T ping-pong solutions, opinions and advice. Suggest a topic and B&T will give it the once over.
Pix and Flicks
Camera’s, videos and movies. Bill’s got a lot of experience with DSLR cameras, so there will probably be a bunch of good info and advice for the novice to semi-pro photographer.
Audiophile
It’s all about the music.
Tech-Knows
Lots of computer, software and gadget info here. Tom loves to comb the blogs for new and interesting gadgets, which will be shared here along with reviews if he’s got a chance to get hands-on with any of the gizmos.
You can post a questions here, we will do our best to answer it, but remember, that this isn’t a hardcore tech support site, if your question takes more than 3 sentences to perform, odds are we’re going to recommend you seek tech support from another source.
You can also ask for a recommendation or help in selecting a technology, gadget or camera. We love to do research and help people make good decisions or buy the right gift.
Foodies
You gotta eat, right? All things food related will fall under this category (including cupcakes). Might even have some guest bloggers contribute in this category.
